Andre P Moorghen
Bass and Backing Vocals
Moo loves music! He has the gift of being a natural musician and is very versatile being able to play many different styles of music from classical through to rock.
Moo’s music-playing journey started at the age of 4 with the obligatory recorder at infant school and he had moved on to the clarinet by the age of 7. At this time he was playing in the school orchestra with the 9 and 10 year olds and singing in the school choir too. At the age of 11 he graduated from the clarinet to the saxophone which he played in various bands and orchestras until 17 years old.
At the age of 13, Moo discovered that his Mum’s radio and his Dad’s hi-fi could in fact, be tuned into 1053 or 1089 MHz (old MW Radio 1), contrary to the rumour that both devices were “fixed” to BBC Radio 2, and therefore, the discovery of “that mindless noise” which was “pop” was made.
During the next school summer holiday, the school’s Gibson SG copy bass guitar found it’s way to the Moorghen house and that was to be the start of a long relationship between Moo and the proper guitar – Bass!
